The conference will examine the two-way relationship between deformation theory and the geometry of moduli spaces. One strand of the programme concerns differential graded Lie algebras and L-infinity algebras, derived and homotopical geometry, and obstruction theories. A complementary strand concerns global moduli problems for curves, stable maps and sheaves, deformation questions for singularities and hyperkähler varieties, and the enumerative invariants attached to these spaces. By placing these topics in a single programme, the meeting will allow researchers who use local, global, categorical and enumerative methods to compare techniques and formulate new questions at their interfaces.

The meeting also celebrates the birthdays of Barbara Fantechi and Marco Manetti and their influential contributions to these subjects.
