Faces of Singularity Theory
This conference is part of the Chaire Jean-Morlet Semester Singularity Theory from Modern Perspectives. While the other events of the semester are focusing on the research project that the organisers plan to carry out, this conference intends to open the thematic spectrum within singularity theory, and explore possible interactions within different approaches.
The topics envisaged are:
- connections with Minimal Model Program
- resolution of Singularities
- motivic Integration
- Milnor fibration and related topics
- Lipschitz geometry
- non-archimedean, tropical and log-geometry of singularities
- topology of singularities with connections to Floer theories connections of singularity theory with combinatorics
- connections of singularity theory with Mirror symmetry ideas.
While the connections are wide, the main unifying factor are the singularity theory methods.
