Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize

Congratulations to Clay Research Fellow Anna Skorobogatova who has been awarded a 2026 Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize for her notable contributions in geometric measure theory, which uses techniques from analysis to tackle geometric problems such as finding surfaces of minimal area. In a series of papers with collaborators, she resolved a long-standing question about the structure of singularities of area-minimising surfaces, completing a programme that spanned over sixty years.
