This conference, in honor of Ernest Vinberg’s 80th birthday, aims to review recent developments in transformation group theory, present the brightest recent achievements, and discuss perspectives of further research.  Main topics will be:  

  • Algebraic groups and geometric invariant theory
  • Transformation groups in differential geometry and analysis
  • Structures and representation theory of Lie algebras and their generalizations
  • Discrete subgroups of Lie groups and discrete transformation groups

The conference will present a broad look at recent progress in the field, highlighting new techniques and ideas.
