Funded programs

In furtherance of its mission, the Clay Mathematics Institute funds and organizes summer schools, conferences and workshops, in some cases in partnership with organizations.  CMI and its partners also run outreach programs to encourage talented students to pursue mathematical careers.

Clay Research Conference

The annual Clay Research Conference is an opportunity for leading mathematicians to speak about significant recent research to a general mathematical audience. It is the occasion on which the Clay Research Awards are presented.

CMI Workshops

The CMI conducts a program of small workshops, which are held at the Mathematical Institute in Oxford. Typically, full funding for 10-20 people is available for each workshop, but others may be invited.

Enhancement & Partnership

The principal aim of this program is to enhance activities that are already planned and financially viable.

Outreach

As part of its mission to encourage talented students to pursue mathematical careers, the CMI partners with the established outreach programs PROMYS and PROMYS Europe.
