Rényi 100
Date: 20 - 23 June 2022
Location: Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics
Event type: Conference
Organisers: László Lovász (HAS), Imre Csiszár (Rényi), Gergely Harcos (Rényi), Gyula O. H. Katona (Rényi), András Stipsicz (Rényi), Domokos Szász (TU Budapest), Bálint Tóth (Bristol and Rényi)
This conference, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alfréd Rényi, aims to represent modern probability, graph theory and networks, information theory, dynamical systems, number theory, and other fields in Rényi’s spirit. Plenary speakers and parallel sessions will explore the interconnections between these and other areas of pure and applied mathematics and show how Rényi’s way of approaching mathematics as a whole determined the shape of these areas.
