NZMRI Summer School: Mathematical Aspects of General Relativity

Date: 13 - 19 January 2020

Location: Victoria University of Wellington

Organisers: Stephen Marsland (VUW), Sebastian Schuster (VUW), Matt Visser (VUW)

Website: sms.wgtn.ac.nz/Events/AotearoaGR2020

This summer school is one of an annual series organized by the NZMRI (New Zealand Mathematics Research Institute), with the theme for January 2020 being the mathematical aspects of general relativity.  The summer school is aimed primarily at mathematics PhD students – there would also be a significant number of senior mathematicians attending, but relatively few would have any significant background in general relativity.

Professor Ed Witten (IAS) will give the Clay Lecture.
