Microlocal Analysis and PDEs
This workshop is devoted to recent trends and developemtns in microlocal analysis and partial differential equations. Microlocal analysis is a technique that generalizes the Fourier transform in order to deal with PDEs with variable coefficients. The foundation of microlocal analysis was laid by Lars Hörmander and remains at the cutting edge of the modern analysis of PDEs. It has extensive application both within and outside mathematics, such as, among others, geometry, general relativity, inverse problems, (medical) image reconstruction techniques, tomography, seismology, etc. This event aims to promote and strengthen this research area.
