Quantum Mathematics and Computation
September 30 - October 4, 2013
Clay Mathematics Institute
Mathematical Institute
University of Oxford
This inaugural research workshop of the Centre for Quantum Mathematics and Computation will bring together world experts to focus on foundational questions of contemporary importance in quantum mathematics. Particular attention will be devoted to questions concerning the theory and mathematical application of local topological quantum field theory, and an investigation of how modern mathematical perspectives on quantum theory could be advanced through an understanding of the geometry of type theory.
In addition to formal presentations and research activities, the workshop will incorporate a number of more informal events, including problem sessions and research and outreach planning activities.
This workshop will take place in the new Mathematical Institute building during the week of its opening.
Participation in the workshop is by invitation. A limited number of additional places is available. Please register your interest here.
