By car
A7 /Exit Göttingen/Dransfeld:
- B3 towards Göttingen city centre
- turn right on B 27 towards Eschwege /Fulda (Bürgerstrasse)
- turn right on Bunsenstrasse, the Department of Mathematics is on the left hand
Approaching from Hannover (B3) or from Braunlage (B27)
- go as far as the city centre and follow the parking guide system, drive past the train station
- follow sign system posting to Eschwege/Fulda along B 27 (Bürgerstraße)
- turn right on Bunsenstrasse, the Department of Mathematics is on the left hand

By bus from the railway station (Bahnhof) to the hostel:
Take bus No. 6 from the bus station A (Station A is directly on Berlinerstraße, in front of the train station and to the right-hand side of it as you come out the main station entrance). On Sunday, the bus runs hourly until 9:54 pm, and takes about 15 minutes. Take the bus to the stop labelled Jugenderherberge. Once you get off the bus, cross the street and walk up hill until you come to Habichtsweg on the left. The hostel is about a hundred yards down the path, on the right-hand side.
By bus from the hostel to the department:
Take the No. 6 bus from the hostel to the railway station (Bahnhof), and then Bus No. 12 from Station A to the department (Bürgerstraße). It takes about 20 minutes. Once you get off the bus, look for Bunsenstraße on the right. Walk down Bunsenstraße to the Mathematical Institute - number 3/5.

On foot from the train station to Leine Hotel:
Go out the back of the station (the side opposite the bus depot) and turn left onto Bahnhofsallee. Bahnhofsallee will take you to Groner Landstraße. Cross the street, turn right, and follow Groner Landstraße to No. 55. If you have a great deal of luggage, you may prefer to take a taxi.
On foot from Leine Hotel to the department:
Turn right as you exit Leine Hotel, and walk down Groner Landstraße to Burgerstraße. Follow Burgerstraße to Bunsenstraße, which will be on your right. Walk down Bunsenstraße to the Mathematical Institute - number 3/5."
