Conferences and Workshops
CMI hosts conferences and workshops for experts to exchange ideas, and for students to learn new fields.
Conferences with major CMI support are organized as Clay Research Conferences. Those with lesser participating support, often to send US mathematicians abroad or to bring mathematicians from other countries to the US, are organized by supporting those mathematicians as "emissaries."
