I was born on 1st of August 1970 in Jerusalem. I submitted my Ph.D. thesis in the summer of 1999, titled "Entropy properties of dynamical systems" under the guidance of Prof. Benjamin Weiss at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. The thesis concerns several problems in ergodic theory and dynamical systems, including in the theory of amenable group actions.

Since then I have been in the U.S., first two years as a Member at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton NJ, and since then I have been a Szego Asst. Prof. at Stanford University. Next year I will be a visiting member at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

Since graduating, I have focused mainly on the interface between dynamics and other fields, in particular number theory. In particular, using ergodic theoretic and other techniques I have studied the problem of Arithmetic Quantum Unique Ergodicity which, despite the name, is a problem at the interface between the theory of automorphic forms and mathematical physics.
